You know how in every movie we see the actress wakes up with glowy skin, rested eyes and moisturized lips? And at the same time we all wake up looking like we haven’t slept a bit, with dark circles and the ocassional pimple on our foreheads. This has been bugging me for a long time so I decided to share with you 10 overnight beauty tips that will make you look like a movie star who just woke up from her beauty rest.
If you want to wake up with soft feet without rough skin, apply Vaseline to the soles of your feet and put on socks before you sleep. When you wakeup your feet will be soft and ready for the strappy heels you wanted to wear.
To remove puffiness from your eyes add an extra pillow and sleep on your back. This way the fluids will drain easier form your face and in the morning you’ll wake up with rested and puff-less eyes.
The best time to create heatless waves is overnight. Wash your hair before your go to sleep, dry it untill it’s damp, apply some styling products and gather it in a braid. That way when you wake up in the morning your hair will be dry and wavy and you didn’t even have to heat it!
A trick for those of you with dry skin – buy a humidifier and put it in your bedroom. Turn it on at night and it’ll take care of instilling air with moisture and in that way – keeping your skin hydrated.
Sleeping on a silk or satin pillow case lessens the pressure on your skin and helps prevent wrinkles (cotton pillow cases do exactly the opposite).
Brush little baking soda on your teeth right before you go to bed and rinse it after 5-10 minutes. Do it then because usually you’ll have to wait an hour before you could eat or drink something and you won’t have this problem while you sleep.
Brighten your face
Because sunlight can actually deactivate products than brighten your face, use them before you go to sleep. That way, you’ll see the effect even sooner!
To lengthen your lashes while you sleep just apply on them almond, coconut or other oil and rinse it gently in the morning. Do this every night and your lashes will look like you have mascara on after just the first week!
Repair your hair
Apply leave-in conditioner in your hair before you go to sleep and in the morning you’ll have smooth and shiny hair. Applying it in the evening will give the igredients more time to penetrate into your hair and treat it properly.
Apply cuticle cream or oil to your nails beds before you sleep and slip on gloves afterwards. You’ll wake up with smooth and hydrated nails beds. Who says that you’ll have to splurge on nail saloons to have the perfefct nails?
