I seriously praise the man or woman who invented make-up, hairdryers, lotions, hair straightners and everything else we still use today.
I mean, imagine what we would all look like strutting down the street with no makeup, no anti aging creams, no hair styling weapons etc, not a pretty site for sure!
But where did these genius inventions come from?
Lets see!
Make-Up – Thanks to Egypt!
Makeup was invented in ancient Egypt in about 4,000 BC. Egyptian makeup was used to protect the wearers against weather and to look more attractive. They used unguent to moisturise skin and kohl to highlight the eyes.
The Hairdryer – Thank you France!
The hair dryer was invented by a (genius!!) Frenchman, Alexander Godefoy in the year 1890
Hair Straighteners – Thank you France (again!)
This absolute mastermind was a gentleman named Marcel Grateau, who invented the straightner in the late 1800’s. He used to use heating rods (similar to image) to straighten the hair. From that, came todays heated or pressing combs and flat irons.
Nail Polish – Thanks Asia!
Nail polish is a definite must in womens everyday grooming. Nail polish was invented in Asia in 3000 B.C.
