When your deciding which shampoo to buy, do you actually know what to look for?
We cannot assume all shampoos are the same, well, because they are not!
All shampoos contain two key ingredients: a cleanser and a conditioner (Even if the shampoo is not a 2 in 1, it still contains conditioner.)
If you have oily hair, you want a shampoo that removes the oils and hydrates both the hair and scalp.
Dry hair is results from damage to the hair itself. Always go for a fortifying shampoo which gives the moisture and damage repair required to tame the hair.
Strengthening and Straightening Shampoos
If you need a shampoo that will help to smooth and straighten out the hair, look for ‘Strengthening or straightening’ on the bottle. These shampoos normally contain silicones which help with the process.
This type of shampoo does not need to be used by most people, in fact this type of shampoo can rough up the hairs cuticle, which you certainly dont want.
Color Treated Shampoos
Only use a color treated shampoo if it has the following ingredients: oil, sea kelp, or algae. These ingredients will help color stay in the hair.
