Due to personal reasons, any company, charity or individual who join the race to cure cancer wins my heart a million times over.
So you can imagine my delight when I seen the recent news that top designers will be delivering random items from their collections, at random times, at random Cancer Research stores….
Intro ‘the’ fashion hunt of the year!
For a period of 2 weeks, everything from shoes to scarves to clothes to handbags and other stunning items will be hidden in stores, alongside items that have been normally donated by the local community and will be sold at a fraction of the retail cost (of course all proceeds going to the Cancer Research charity).
Last season, a nursing student Mina Thapa, 26, seen a Mulberry handbag, that is valued over £1,100 in the Guildford Cancer Research UK shop and purchased it for only £100.
She said: “The day I got my lucky dress, I was just walking past the shop, decided to pop in and spotted it. I couldn’t believe my good fortune. What’s more, it’s wonderful to know that the money raised is funding vital research, which is helping more people beat cancer.”
Some of the biggest, well known designers have got themselves involved in this incredible idea such as Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Bulvagari, Dior, Chanel, Hugo Boss and Jimmy Choo just to name a few from the 30 designers that have included themselves in this amazing charity.
So get down to your closest Cancer Research Store and start racking! Its all for an amazing cause.
Let us know if you manage to find any of these designer gems!
