Never take part in contact sports even in the early stages of your pregnancy, a simple knock or fall can cause a massive amount of complications.
If you like to ride a bike, for example, from 12 weeks you should be consulting with your doctor if this is safe for yourself and the baby. You may have good balance skill but you also have a bump to balance too. This could cause instability therefor causing a fall.
