Shoes are a necessity and everyone who is old enough to walk knows that their shoe size is. But is it the correct one? Not to mention that each shoe is created initially for a specific zone and converting the shoe size to another sometimes puts the buyer in a tricky situation – should we buy a bit tighter shoes or those that are half a number larger?
The most curious mistake that people make, even these who are educated in this subject, is to not think about which toe is their longest and instead to always consider distances comparing to their largest. Yes, with most people these two are one and the same, but it is possible to be otherwise. That is why, no matter the big toe, you should take notice to have a distance between your longest toe and the end of the shoe of around a centimetre.
Another good thing to know is that you can see if the width is okay by touching the outside of the shoe while it’s on your foot. If you can sense the relief made by your little toe – the shoe is not for you!
Choosing a shoe is something we do a lot, but choosing the right one is a talent.
