Justin Bieber prepares to get on top of an SUV after he was released on bond on Thursday in Miami Beach, Fla.
A day after he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on misdemeanor DUI and other charges related to an early morning drag racing incident, Justin Bieber took to Instagram to express himself.
The pop star posted a photograph of him-self taken when he left the jail Thursday afternoon alongside a similar iconic image of Michael Jackson.
The 19-year-old Bieber seemed to be saying he can relate to the late King of Pop’s own dealings with the law.
The singer’s father, Jeremy Bieber, also used social media to share his feelings about what happened with his son.
The two have been seen and photographed together in Miami this week.
First, Jeremy Bieber tweeted a simple message to his three children on Thursday night:
Love @justinbieber @jazmynbieber @jaxtonbieber #reallife
By Friday morning, his words were pointed and directed at the rest of the world:
I can protect my kids, but I can’t protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife
Bieber’s longtime manager Scooter Braun, who hired high-profile Miami attorney Roy Black to defend the artist, used Twitter to send a more positive message:
“Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad.”
The singer’s mother Patti Mallette has not commented on her son’s legal troubles.
