Usually Lady Gaga appears of the covers of many different magazines wearing strange masks, nets and other untraditional stuff. However, recently the singer grabs the attention of her admirers with the amazingly high shoes, which at same time do not have any heels. We call them amazing mainly because of the fact we cannot find out how they really work with the laws of gravitation. The Japanese designer Noritaka Tatehana who turned into the favourite shoe-designer of the singer shared that the inspiration for the shoes he creates comes from the geishas. Besides fashion, Tatehana is also interested in web design.
When making the platforms for her shoes he combines skillfully the typical decoration for the Geishas attire together with modern details. Gaga’s shoes remind of the PVC boots made by Antonio Berardi for Victoria Beckham. These were innovatory and the first time people saw them they called them hooves.
Since now, Noritaka Tatehana has made more than twenty pairs of shoes especially for Gaga. Their platforms are 18 centimeters high.
His untraditional shoes could be seen at concerts, television shows, music videos with the participation of Lady Gaga.
The price of a pair of shoes invented by Tatehana may reach the sum of 15000 dollars.
