Lose Weight In a Healthy Way

Losing weight can be a challenge. A lot of people will make the mistake of taking diets to far by not eating the correct food and portions advised and even to the extent of not eating at all.

It is imperative to lose weight in a healthy way in order to firstly keep the weight away in the short and long term and secondly, to keep the body naturally healthy.

Here we will discuss how to diet healthily and how to control your metabolism to lose the right amount of weight in the shortest time possible, whilst staying healthy and keeping the weight off permanently!

Instead of eating the traditional 3 meals per day – eat only when you are hungry. The body will (in the beginning) be expecting a specific amount of food but the body needs to be trained to cope with smaller amounts of food. However, you should never eat anything 3 hours before sleeping.

It is imperative to avoid eating or drinking caffeine anytime after 4.30pm. This is due to your motablism

slowing down around this time day naturally. If you have the feeling of needing to consume food or drink – stay with fruit, vegetables and water (small portions to avoid bloating).

To boost your metabolism, it is very important to sleep between 7 and 8 hours per night. This will boost

the metabolism to ensure weight loss in a healthy and fast way.

Avoid chocolate, cakes, ice cream, fizzy drinks, coffee, sugar based drinks and food and any other types

of junk food.

Never starve yourself. If your feeling hungry, eat! Just make sure you opt for healthy foods and drinks.

If you starve yourself this will shut down / slow down your metabolism (a major process of being able to lose weight) it will discourage the body to lose weight. This will also have a physical effect I.e. Will make you feel tired, woozy, light headed and will eventually encourage you to eat more and give strong cravings of wishing to eat sugar based foods or junk foods to feel better.

Avoid drinks that have a lot of sugar – replace these drinks with water, tea and 100% fruit juices.

If your needing a snack – go for fruit. However, never think you can eat as much as you like as some vegetables contain more calories than others. Vegetables such as corn, avacado, banana and coconut should be avoided to ensure no high calorie intakes or eaten in very small amounts.

Aim to eat good carbs such as brown rice, wholewheat, grain bread and oats.

Avoid white carbs such as white bread, white rice and potatoes etc. White carbs are very fattening and will slow down the weight loss process.

Don’t forget exercise! Its all fair and well dieting but to see faster results and to stay healthy, exercising is

key to losing weight and staying healthy in an effective way.
