Let’s be honest – we all have had that moment in our lives when one of our brows was shorter or thicker than the other. And it’s mainly because plucking our eyebrows properly is one of the hardest things a woman can do, along with not messing up our nail polish and making an even cat-eye. We make a lot of mistakes when it comes to eyebrows and here are some of them:
1.Taking too much of the sides
Taking too much of the sides is maybe the most often mistake that we make when we pluck our eyebrows. If you don’t want to make it, remember this – the beginning of your eyebrows should line up with the bridge of your nose and the end should make a diagonal line with the outside corner of your eye. You can use a pencil to make the lines so you don’t get confused and overpluck.
2.Misplacing the arch
The second mistake is to misplace your arch or make it too big. It’s important that you remember that the arch shouldn’t be close to the beginning of the eye, but at the line of the outer edge of the iris. If it’s too late for your brows and your arch is misplaced, just wait for it to grow out and place it where it should be.
3.Using a magnifying glass when plucking
When you are using a magnifying glass you tend to pluck your eyebrows too much without even noticing and you can end up with too short or thin eyebrows. The solution is to use a normal mirror and natural light so you see clearly what you are doing.
4.Trimming too much
You can not only overpluck, but overtrim your eyebrows. Trimming too much leads to leaving your eyebrows too short or even with sparse spots. The key is to brush your brows up and trim only hairs that are longer from the others.
5.Overusing eyebrow pencil
According to some beauty experts overusing eyebrow pencil or using pencils that are too dark is the biggest eyebrow mistake. If you want to avoid this, first pick a pencil that is a shade lighter than your hair. Then trace tha natural line of your brows and fill in only the patchy areas. That way your brows won’t look harsh and fake.
