Keratosis Pilaris is a very common genetic skin condition which is characterized by the appearance of slightly red, rough bumps on the skin. It is not very pretty to look at and might appear on most parts of the body, except the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet.
Keratosis Pilaris is caused by the excess production of keratin and is more strongly manifested in the colder months when skin is dryer.
Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has great moisturizing effect and as such, it is a great remedy for Keratosis Pilaris. Simply apply it to your skin after a shower for a week or two and you will get rid of those annoying red bumps!
Yogurt: Yogurt can provide some relief to the skin, so apply it before taking a bath to remove the excess keratin from your skin.
Apple Vinegar: Mix apple vinegar with some warm water and use it to wash the affected area. You will have to overcome the slight smell for a few days since this is a very effective method and can help you get rid of the skin condition quickly!
