Fans want to rename the street that Paul Walker died on to honor the late actor but residents are against the name change.
“Several thousand” fans have signed a petition to rename the road where Paul Walker and Roger Rodas died in a fiery car crash on Nov. 30 to ”Walker Rodas Memorial Parkway,”
Residents who live in the town where the accident took place, Santa Clarita, California are saying Paul didn’t do anything for the community and are not happy about this tribute idea.

The petition has over 2,000 signatures but the name change may never come to light.
Santa Clarita city councilman Tim Ben Boydston says that streets can only be renamed with the support of the residents in the town.
Most say since Paul didn’t have an impact on the community, the street shouldn’t be renamed.

Paul passed away in Santa Clarita, California on Nov. 30 after the car he was in hit a tree and burst in to flames.
Paul was part of the extremely popular Fast and Furious franchise.
The cast were in the middle of filming the seventh film at the time of Paul’s death.
