Sometimes I just want to enjoy mu Saturday morning with a cup of coffee and a little treat in from of the PC. It is a total bliss, especially if I happened to work hard all week.
But do you know what makes me really happy – Nutella. That`s why I love making these Nutella stuffed croissants. Here is the recipe. Yummy!
You will need the following ingredients:
- 20g flour
- 1 packet of instant yeast
- 80ml of warm milk
- 300g of flour
- 40g icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 large eggs
- 80g soft butter
- 12 teaspoons of Nutella
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
Mix the yeast with flour and milk and let it stay for 15 minutes. In a separate bowl mix the flour with salt and sugar, together with the butter and eggs. Stir until you get a smooth and soft dough.
Knead it for a few minutes and add the yeast. Then continue kneading for 5 more minutes.
Put the dough in a bowl and wait until it doubles its size. When it is ready, take it off and roll it out on the table to a thickness of 5mm.
Then cut the circle into 12 triangles, with a 1cm cut in the middle of each and at the base of each triangle put a spoon of Nutella.
Roll the dough to make 12 little croissants and put them into a oven pan. Let them double their size. Meanwhile mix egg yolk with a spoon of milk and brush them with the mixture.
Now the final part comes – put them into a preheated oven at 180° for about 20 minutes.
When you see the time has come – take them out and … enjoy, because they are unbelievably delicious!
