If not, you could be causing a lot of damage to your hair.
Have you got textured hair?
Teasing hair that has a natural texture can make hair very tangled. If you have naturally textured hair, you can still tease the hair but make sure you straighten the hair first beforehand..
The ultimate rule is to brush out all the tangles before teasing…. If not you will end up with a tangle that is almost impossible (and painful) to get out.
Wet or hot hair….
DO NOT tease anything until your hair is completely dry and cold! If teasing when the hair is still hot from the hair dryer / straightners or the hair is still damp / wet, you will only get excessive damage to your hair. Otherwise you will suffer from the below…. A big tangled mess!!
So whats the best way to tease the hair?
Take 1 to 2 inch sections of the hair at a time.
Hold the section of hair from the root area.
Place your comb slightly above the root area and comb downwards on the hair.
Then go a little further up the hair and repeat the process.
Spray a LITTLE hairspray to hold in place – dont use a lot of hairspray or you will end up with a tangled mess by the end of the day!
To keep the tease in place, spray the section with hairspray. Then continue teasing and spraying, section by section, until you reach some serious heights.
