These are terrible ideas. Do your research before you post stuff like this. There are reasons people don’t rub baking soda on their teeth nowadays. Also the acid in the fruits are known to wear down the enamel in your teeth creating teeth sensitivity. I would never suggest this to my worst enemy. Why don’t you just eat the damn things? They are proven to be much more effective when you ingest them because your body can absorb the proper nutrition for the proper effects.

As a 5 yr dental assistant this is the worst home remedy Ive seen! People reading this misspelled article will destroy their perfectly good teeth! Bleach in the stores are cheap now! Lemons are by far the worst to put near your teeth. It destroys enamel faster than anything else. And yes! Look around at the generation that used baking soda for toothpaste. Lots of dentures! Fruit acidity is worse than candy. Use whitening toothpaste. Do not destroy your teeth, we only have this last set. Be nice to your teeth.
Not only are your facts incorrect but the spelling is ridiculous! Even if you had done your research prior to posting this (which you clearly didn’t) I would still have a hard time believing it due to the horrendous spelling mistakes! This screams out to me (and probably others) not to trust this information because of the carelessness the writer took in spelling throughout the article.

I don’t see any racism comments anywhere, so where are you getting that ridiculous accusation from? race has nothing to do with spelling. I think you may be confusing that with nationality. Race is color, nationality is being from a foreign country. It really bugs me when people draw the race card. Race was not even an issue in the comments made, just spelling. Don’t make it into something it’s not. Maybe you could do a little research yourself. The acid in citrus fruits do wear down the enamel, just as soda does. Which is why a dentist will tell you not to brush immediately after drinking acidic drinks.
Actually, the baking soda method works. Not the actual method of use, but baking soda has been proven to whiten teeth. Why do you think some brands of toothpaste have it in them? Arm and Hammer made a toothpaste, and put their baking soda in it. Maybe yeah, the Lemon juice idea wasn’t really a good one, but baking soda actually works. I’m talking from research and experience. PS… calm it down with the comments, sheesh. Relax, it’s not that serious.
All of these tips actually work; esp the baking soda one since my cousin is a dentist and she recommends baking soda as one of the best ways to whiten your teeth. Ofcourse you shouldn’t use it daily, once or twice a week is enough, but that doesnt mean it’ll break all your teeth -_- Get a life all of you critics. She is just trying to help! Even lemon juice is a very effective remedy for whitening teeth. You’ll find these tips at many other places over the internet so please stop criticizing her so much just because her spellings are faulty -_-

Actually all these methods will work – BUT they will destroy the enamel in your teeth and down the road cause pain, discolouration, and significant damage that will likely result in decay and tooth loss. So completely your call if you want to whiten this way now and have false teeth down the road. Just be forwarned and informed of the consequences.
